Liver cirrhosis is generally referred to as the chronic stage of liver failure with liver transplant being the only treatment alternative. For Hepatitis C, medicinal treatment is the primary care option, but risks of infection and side effects remain, leaving liver transplant as the only option. For Hepatitis B, vaccination can help with prevention, but once infected, the condition does not get better leading to complete liver failure. With stem cell technology, new cells are administered in the body.
